Program and Operations Coordinator - PreCollege - Temporary (71117)Location: Brooklyn, NYDescription:Every summer, for the month of July, Pratt Institute sponsors a college-level program for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors at its Brooklyn campus. The program attracts 400 students, both domestic and international annually. It is an intensive immersion experience with most students living on campus, and studying in a program of art, design, or creative writing, modeled after Pratt's undergraduate offerings.The PreCollege Program Coordinator works directly with the Associate Director to support all aspects of the organization and implementation of the summer PreCollege Program including but not limited to the administration of admissions, faculty and student orientations, lectures, social and cultural events occurring both on and off campus and a final exhibition. Three positions with distinct responsibilities will be required: Academics Coordinator, Activities Coordinator and Office Coordinator. Important to note that each hired person will serve interchangeably in one of these roles as needed. The position will work closely with and supervise student employees and mentors.The Program Assistant will work part-time (20 hours/week) May 6 - June 16, 2024 adjusting to a full-time schedule (35 hours/week) including evening and weekend hours just prior and throughout the duration of the program (June 9th - August 2nd,2024). Flexibility of hours is required for the duration of the PreCollege Program.Duties and Responsibilities:Academics Coordinator:Coordinate Studio Mentors for studio hours in the evening and weekendHandle precollege@pratt.edu emails along with the PreCollege teamCommunicate directly with faculty (Organize training, collect syllabi, attendance questions, and send reminders.)Advise students as neededBook rooms for academic classes and studio hours via request to the school's operations teamOrganize all work orders and concernsAssist in planning final exhibition and orientation sessionsCoordinate day-time student attendanceOversee any model bookingCommunicate with students about academic questions such as attendance, as neededOther duties related to the PreCollege program as assigned by the Associate DirectorActivities Coordinator:Organize all on-campus and off-campus excursionsHandle precollege@pratt.edu emails and phone calls along with the PreCollege teamCommunicate with internal and external partners to organize all events including the final celebration, orientation sessions, partnered workshops, museum trips, and cultural excursionsOversee all contracts and paymentCoordinate Cultural MentorsBook rooms for onsite events via request to School's operations teamOrganize sign-up sheets and coordinate student attendance for events/activities, trips and studio h
