The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is accountable for providing leadership, strategic direction and vision for the development and achievement of the organization’s mission in partnership with the Council’s Board of Directors (Board). The CEO is a highly visible ambassador and champion of Girl Scouting in the communities served by the Council, inspiring volunteers, donors, and community partners. The CEO works in partnership with the Board to assure the Council’s relevance and integration within the communities it serves by providing relevant, high-quality programs and support systems.
The CEO will lead all community engagement, operational, fundraising, staff management and programmatic facets of organization. This individual will be responsible for advancing and promoting the reputation and position of the organization as well as growing the donor base and development.
Reporting to the CEO are the Chief Mission Delivery Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Development Officer, Chief Property Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Assistant.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience, with a minimum of 5 years at an executive leadership level.
o Executive/managerial experience in youth-serving organizations is a plus but not required.
o Corporate executive experience a plus but not required.
o Well-connected within the greater Tulsa business community a plus but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training. Advanced degree a plus but not required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships with youth, community leaders, donors, Board members, volunteers, Council management/staff and the national organization.
