Senior Tax Specialist

Your Role

We are currently recruiting for Senior Tax Specialist to join our Finance Team, who will be responsible for supporting the Tax Manager in managing the organization’s tax-related activities. This role involves ensuring compliance with local tax laws, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and assisting in the development of tax strategies to optimize the company’s financial performance.

Your Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance: Ensure the organization complies with all local tax regulations, including those set by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

• Tax Preparation: Prepare and review various tax returns, such as income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and withholding tax.

• Tax Planning: Assist the Tax Manager in developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial performance.

• Research: Conduct research on tax issues and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.

• Audit Support: Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.

• Financial Reporting: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and disclosure of tax-related items.

• Advisory: Provide tax advice to management and other departments within the organization.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all tax-related documents and correspondence.

• Other tasks at management discretion.

Your Skills and Experiences

- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.

- Professional Certification: Preferably Certified Public Accountant - CPA

- He/she has 2-5 years of relevant Tax Specialist Experience.

- In-depth knowledge of Philippine tax laws and regulations.

- Previous experience with Tax Audits and interfaces with BIR.

- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
