Candidates should be very familiar with and able to speak to:
* Subnetting IPV4 or IPV6
* Layer 2 and 3 switches and their differences
* C-LI (Command-Line Interface) routing and switching commands
* Permitting or Denying access control list (ACL)
* Wireshark
* Encryption devices i.e., Taclane (175, etc.), KG250, KIV (7, 78 etc.)
* Static and Dynamic Routing Protocols
* Designing and reviewing Visio network diagrams
* CISCO Call Manager and its imbedded applications
* Voice routers and troubleshooting commands
* Firewalls both physical and virtual
Requirements
Proven experience in a network administrator role
· Hands on experience in networking, routing, automation, and switching.
· Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
· Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
· Ability to set up and configure server hardware.
· Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
· Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.
· Experienced in BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN, Cisco ISE or similar, Cisco Dev-Ops, Ansible, automation, AZURE, AWS or Google Cloud, and Linux
· Utilize latest network technologies to design and deploy networks.
· Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade corporate customer’s networks and in house servers.
· Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
· Research and resolve network vulnerabilities.
· Support and administer third-party applications.
· Ensure network security and connectivity.
· Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
· Setup and deploy virtualized machines.
· Resolve problems reported by end user.
· Adhere to network policies and procedures.
· Specify system requirements and design solutions.
· Research and make recommendations on server system administration
