Job Summary | The Behavioral Sleep Medicine Laboratory (P.I. Kelly Baron, PhD, MPH) is recruiting a full time research assistant for NIH funded research studies of sleep/circadian rhythms, aging and metabolism to assist with data collection in ongoing lab projects. |
Responsibilities | · Collaborates with the study team to meet goals for participant recruitment and screening. · Schedules and conducts study assessments, including administration of questionnaires and cognitive assessments, sleep measurement equipment set up and download. · Complies with ethical standards for research involving human subjects. · Completes other activities as delegated by the PI and the project director. · Opportunities to contribute to scientific manuscripts and abstracts. Work Environment and Level of Frequency that may be required Nearly Continuously: Office environment. Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking. Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead. |
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field, or equivalency, plus two years of related experience. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. A valid Utah Driver’s License may be required in certain departments. |
Preferences | Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a health-related field, effective communication skills, Candidates who are native Spanish speakers are preferred. |
