JOB REQUIREMENTS: Location Kingsway Retirement Living Address 815 W Main
Street Belle Plaine, MN 56011 Description PURPOSE OF POSITION: The
primary purpose of the position is to plan, organize, develop and direct
the overall operation of the Life Enrichment Department in accordance
with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and
regulations that govern Kingsway Retirement Living, and as may be
directed by the Housing Manager, to assure that an on-going program of
activities are designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive
assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, psychological, and
spiritual needs of each resident at Kingsway Retirement Living.
DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY: The Life Enrichment Manager is delegated the
administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary
for carrying out the assigned duties. FUNDAMENTAL JOB DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: Every effort has been made to make the job description
as complete as possible. However, it in no way states or implies that
these are the only duties required. The omission of specific statements

similar, related, or is a logical assignment to the position.
Administrative Functions: Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate,
and direct the Life Enrichment programs. Assist in the development,
administering, and coordinating of department policies and procedures.
Encourage social interaction between residents by creating small and
large group programs. Continually evaluate resident\'s needs, likes
dislikes and programs provided. Keep abreast of current federal and
state regulations, as well as professional standards, and make
recommendations on such changes in policies and procedures to the
Housing Manager. Review department policies and procedures, at least
annually, and participate in making recommended changes. Act as Resident
Council Advisor coordinating meetings monthly. Coordinate
seasonal/special events - planning, organizing, publicizing,
implementing, decorating, etc. Perform administrative requirements, such
as completing necessary forms, reports, etc, and submitting such items
to the Housing Manager as required. Assist in the review and updating of
departmental job descriptions at least annually. Assume the authority,
responsibility, and accountability of directing the Life Enrichment
department. Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Housing
Manager concerning the operation of the Life Enrichment department.
Interpret the department\'s policies and procedures to employees,
residents, visitors, government agencies, etc. Keep abreast of economic
conditions/situations and recommend to the Housing Manager adjustments
in Life Enrichment programs that assure the continued ability to provide
