Job Description:
The Quality Technician B performs MIL-STD-810 environmental tests in the Environmental Test Lab while supporting and interfacing with Quality, Operations and Engineering personnel.
Essential Functions:
• Perform MIL-STD 810 testing.
• Support multiple simultaneous tests.
• Work independently and as a member of a team.
• Setup and operate environmental test chambers, environmental test • equipment, vibration equipment and electronic test stations.
• Ensure calibration, for test equipment, is current while in use.
• Perform basic equipment and product troubleshooting when necessary.
• Independently evaluate products tested.
• Record and compile test data for test reports.
• Maintain productivity levels at or above company standards.
Basic Qualifications:
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
• Previous Quality Assurance work experience and/or previous experience performing MIL-STD environmental testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Be able to follow, and comprehend, work instructions, test procedures and standard operating procedures.
• Demonstrate an ability, and willingness, to perform multiple tasks and the technical requirements of the job.
• Candidate must be able to work overtime, including weekends, with short notice.
• Must be able to maintain reliable attendance.
• Team player.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
• Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Proficiency in handling intricate tasks, performing precise movements and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office.
