As a School Nurse Assistant (LPN), you contribute to this mission by providing reliable direct care for a kindergarten aged child in a school setting. You will work as part of a team that serves 8,000 students at 18 campuses across Helena.
 
Some of what you will do:
• Working part-time in the Functional Life Skills classroom, provide one on one care for assigned student. Current schedule is Monday – Friday, 10:30am to 3:30pm, but is subject to change during the school year.  
• Catheterization, tube feedings, administer medication, monitor after feedings to prevent aspiration.  
• Provide emotional and psychological support as needed.
 
Who we are looking for:
• Graduate of a LPN program with a valid license as a practical nurse in good standing.
• Prior experience working as a LPN, medical assistant, certified nursing assistant or similar role.
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to handle stress
• Ability to regularly transition from sitting/standing, bend, stoop, twist and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
 
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in an elementary setting and/or with providing pediatric patient care.
