NY1498432 Senior Staff Accountant Oswego Industries is looking for a full time Senior Staff Accountant. The right individual is highly analytical and thorough, has excellent Excel skills, is comfortable analyzing data files, and is interested in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The successful candidate will own various functional accounting areas and projects. The position will report to the Finance Manager of our company. Responsibilities - Participate in the closing process, including completing journal entries, analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting - Prepare month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations - Assist in implementing processes to optimize data integrity and process improvements - Analyze data, typically to support financial transactions or data from the general ledger system, to identify and interpret patterns or trends in data sets - Develop and maintain process and control documentation for areas of responsibility - Assist in any accounting-related system implementations - Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines - Assist in annual external audit - Handle confidential information on a routine basis with honesty and integrity Education an Experience - Bachelor's degree in Accounting - 4+ years experience as a Staff Accountant - Knowledge of Non-Profit Accounting - Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions - Familiarity with accounting software/systems, especially Sage 100 Wage $25 - $27 Apply http://oswegoindustriesinc.org/
