Job Description

 
An Assembler / Wirer III , will under limited supervision, perform wiring, soldering and assembly operations on difficult and complex subassemblies, final assemblies and harnesses. Essential Role and Responsibilities: Read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, color codes, prints and wire list. Build harnesses of high complexity. Utilizing a high degree of proficiency, wire and solder various components within circuits and chassis. Perform mechanical assembly of high complexity chassis and final assemblies. Occasionally employ basic knowledge of electrical theory and its application to basic wiring and testing using voltage and ohmmeters. May be required to perform continuity checks and rework. Ability to work to IPC Manufacturing Standards. Assemble loads and backplanes. Follow provided assembly drawings and schematics. Qualifications and Education Requirements: High School or technical trade school graduate preferred, or training in military service. Minimum of five (5) years recent wiring experience. IPC Certification preferred. Language Skills: Must be fluent in written English. Good interpersonal skills required to interface with various inter departmental personnel. Other Skills and Abilities: Must be knowledgeable and able to utilize all assembly tools such as soldering irons, pliers, cutters, etc.
