TheAccount VP/Member Business Loan Officeris responsible fordeveloping and maintaining relationships with business members to generate new loans, deposits, and other credit union products and services, analyze credit requests to ascertain fit within the credit unions quality and risk guidelines, and service and grow a loan and deposit portfolio of accounts.

DutiesandResponsibilities(EssentialFunctions):
Originate commercial loans
Refer and cross-sell deposit products, Treasury Management services and other credit union products and services
Analyze financial information and credit applications to determine credit potential
Negotiate credit terms within the credit union's loan policies
Prepare credit opportunity memoranda
Present loans for approval to the proper approval authority
Voting member of Business Loan Committee
Support branch commercial activities
Market, sell and set up new remote deposit accounts at customer's offices
Collect on-going member financial data
Provide resources and make recommendations that meet business members' needs
Monitor performance of individual loan portfolio to maintain and improve the quality
Maintain credit files
Assist members regarding existing loans, financial requests, financing terms and guidelines
Resolve members' problems
Monitor and grow deposits
Network and prospect for new business members through attendance at and involvement in business and community events
Represent Member Business Services at Chamber of Commerce and other business events
Lead/Participate in departmental and cross-functional projects
Monitor market indicators and competition
Stay abreast of industry, market and regulatory changes
Develop new marketing materials that cover business products and services including regulatory requirements
Required Skills
Knowledge,Skill, and AbilityRequirements:
Education and Credentials
oBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management or related field required
oCollege coursework in accounting or finance preferred
Experience
2-4 years commercial lending related experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong computer skills; especially in MS Word and Excel
Self-driven with ability to work as a team but also independently
Ability to review and analyze both business and personal financial statements and tax returns
Ability to make decisions in a timely manner
Ability to work well under pressure and contestant interruptions
Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts
