Chemist
Job Objective
-
Ensure that laboratory & workshop’s equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and is of the requisite accuracy and precision.

The chemist is responsible for acting as a lab SME and technical consultant for advanced analytical analysis in CPS laboratory.

Chemist will involve method development and method transfer and support CPS quality for method validation and advanced analytical.

Ensuring that effective programs are in place within laboratory that ensure accurate and precise testing result are generated.

Work with lab manager to timely arrange lab testing workload to ensure that the ingredients and finished products are tested in a defined timeframe.

Have basic knowledge on ISO 17025 requirements or GLP for pharmaceutical company

Strictly follow KORE and ISO17025 requirements on lab’s operations. Work with other department to optimize QC processes.

Work with CPS Quality team to identify new technologies and validate testing equipment and testing method for proper use.
What You’ll Do for Us
-
To ensure sampling, examining, and testing all merchandises, ingredients and finished products for compliance with quality standards and ensure that their retention samples are stored properly after their release.

Establish the testing capability and develop the testing methods for all new ingredients and finished products to ensure new product launching in a defined timeframe.

Perform analysis using advanced analytical techniques, eg. GC, HPLC/UHPLC, UV, FT-NIR, Particle Sizer, AAS, IC, ICP-MS etc, including basic preparation of samples for analysis

Development of analytical methods and conduct calibration and validation for all existing and new lab equipment in a defined frequency to ensure it generates the accurate and precise testing result consistently.

Arrange the analysis of ingredients, finished products, in-process samples and sample for new supplier approval in a timely, accurate manner.

Perform data audits in order to ensure accuracy of data and analytical processes which may include testing record and calibration record, statistical process control, correlation studies, notebook review, and/or traceability exercises

Be responsible to self setup personal performance plan, development plan and career plan.

As a key team member of ISO17025, actively develop a programs and procedures as assigned to ensure lab operations meet KORE laboratory requirements and ISO17025 requirements

Maintaining the general appearance, condition and layout of the laboratory and equipment adequate from the standpoint of housekeeping and operational efficiency.

Actively support the testing of samples, which are non-routine trouble-shooting, from production, Division Technical and bottlers for the resolution of quality issue.

Work with other team member to understand and utilize the SAP QA function to measure QA key indicator and support continuous improvement
Qualification & Requirements
-
Bachelor of science or postgraduate degree, major in the subject of analytical chemistry, or biochemistry
-
At least 3 years working experience in QA and QC department of food or pharmaceutical industry

Have a good laboratory experience, knowledge and understanding of ISO17025 requirements or GLP for pharmaceutical company

Familiar the equipment’s calibration & maintenance for Lab and workshop.

understand Concentrate Plant Laboratory operations and KORE requirements.

Understand all testing methods, specification and food regulation of ingredients and finished products
-
Knowledge on quality system, basic oral and written communication skills;

Familiar with the requirements of Good laboratory Practice and problem solving skills.

Understand with audit process and requirements of quality system.
