NY1495219 Instructor - Metal Fabrication (Fall 2024 - Tenure Track) Salary: $53,736 Mohawk Valley Community College provides accessible, high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students. MVCC is seeking to fill a full-time, ten-month Instructor position in the School of STEM & Career's Metal Fabrication AOS program. Responsibilities include instruction for a variety of courses in the Welding and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist certificate programs, and other related duties within the College, as assigned. Candidates must have the ability to teach theory and safe practice of a variety of modern metal fabrication methods. Topics of study include manual machine tools, CNC machining, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), 3D solid modeling, as well as sheet metal fabrication and welding processes, including gas metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, shielded metal arc welding, oxy-fuel processes, and plasma cutting. Qualifications: Minimum of an Associate degree in welding, metal fabrication, metal machining, and/or related field Minimum of four (4) years' experience in the metal work field or teaching some form of metal fabrication.
