Take on an important role as a Senior Licensed Vocational Nurse Supervisor with our Venice Family Clinic’s Robert Levine Family Health Center and make a difference in the community.
The Sr. LVN Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Providing guidance and support to the medical assistant staff.
- Performing a variety of patient care activities, such as administering injections and medications, monitoring patients’ blood pressure, changing bandages, inserting catheters, and assisting with bathing or dressing.
- Helping with any problem solving needs that arise for clinic operations.
- Performing supervisory duties such as time sheet corrections/approvals, scheduling and approving time off, performance evaluations, and interviewing/training staff.
- This role will also perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned.
Salary Range: $36.49 – $76.05 Hourly
- Two years of work experience in providing primary care.
- California State Licensed Vocational Nurse (IV certified).
- Phlebotomy certification and BCLS/BLS card.
- Skill in performing phlebotomy and skill in administering injections and immunizations.
- Effective communication skills, interpersonal skills, and skill at working independently and prioritizing assignments.
- Ability to pass a Basic Health Worker course and obtain certificate.
- Ability to prioritize and follow through on assignments, and work in a busy setting with conflicting demands.
- Knowledge of health education, public health, and medical terminology.
