Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is looking for self-starting, team-oriented Full-Stack Application Software Engineers, to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team working on large-scale enterprise application systems for Space Domain purposes using web technologies, distributed computation, as well as sophisticated, cloud technologies, frameworks, and cutting-edge domain analytics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of software development and integration team focused on space domain protection using mission-unique software to be integrated with existing and new cutting-edge capabilities.
Essential Functions:
- Perform software development and integration via industry best practices, including Agile methodologies for the government system.
- Provide support to mission application and framework software development.
- Participates in a development team that uses modern DevOps software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure.
- Help maintain and develop new capabilities to the deployed system, diagnose and resolve issues, and provide support to end-users as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Active TS/SCI with consent to obtain CI Poly
- Experience with Java software development life cycle
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database Management System (RDBMS)
- Development experience with Microservices, Kafka (or any other Java based message broker) and Kubernetes
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Familiar with Space Domain Systems
- Familiar with DevSecOps
- Familiar with software containers
- Experience with Spring Boot framework
- Experience with development using Angular 3+ front-end web application platform or similar web framework.
- Experience with Python programming languages
- Experience integrating, testing, and deploying software applications to operations
- Familiar with Agile Software Development Processs and Methodologies
- Familiar with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado and New York State is $78,000.00 - $145,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
