JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Division of Infectious Disease seeks
a physician focusing on Transplant Infectious Disease, with interest in
quality improvement and research. This is a clinician track (CT) or
clinical health sciences (CHS) track faculty position within the
Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Disease, at the
University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Appointment in the CHS track is characterized by a scholarly approach
and external reputation in clinical activity, teaching, leadership,
and/or research. The incumbent will be engaging in active collaborative
research, providing clinical patient care for patients with infectious
diseases at UW Health approved locations, and teaching medical students,
residents and fellows within the context of their clinical practice.
Opportunities for didactic teaching and participation in other
educational activities in the division may also be available. The
Division of Infectious Disease at UW-Madison includes 29 faculty, 11
Advanced Practice Providers, and five Fellows. The division\'s faculty
lead cutting-edge research programs in antimicrobial drug resistance,
antimicrobial stewardship, antimicrobial drug discovery, antimicrobial
pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, infection control and prevention,
C. difficile, fungal infections, transplant infectious diseases, HIV,
HCV, infectious disease and social justice, global health, microbiome,
virology, diabetic foot infections, biofilm infections, and immunology.
