Strategic Business Partner, Extended Workforce Solutions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in vendor management, supplier management, or service delivery management.
  • Experience working with executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • 10 years of experience in strategic business partnership and account management roles.
  • 8 years of customer-facing experience, driving large-scale and complex programs.
  • Experiencing engaging with executive stakeholders (e.g. Director+).
  • Experience managing contingent workforce strategies and initiatives across functions.
  • Track record in working with and managing partners in complex programs.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

gTech's Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) team empowers Product Areas (PAs) to optimize outsourced operations while reducing risks and driving efficiency through the enforcement of Google best practices and policies. We champion informed decision-making, ensuring our partners find the right talent in the right locations. Our collaboration across Google leads to streamlined processes, minimizing administrative burdens and optimizing the extended workforce (xW) experience. We ensure Google's policies and guidelines are consistently adhered to.

The Partner Engagement team is the face of xWS, building essential relationships with PAs, Bets, Functions, and the Global Procurement Office (GPO). Our mission is to facilitate xW success, enforcing compliance, building resilient operations, and promoting durable cost savings. We prioritize understanding user needs to develop solutions that address their specific challenges. This role directly shapes our PAs, Bets, and Functions development and the formation of future-proof strategic solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with Director-level and senior decision-makers, gaining a deep understanding of their strategic priorities within Product Areas and Bets.
  • Demonstrate your expertise in Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) menu of services, support VPs to get the right talent responsibility by shaping and enforcing cost effective practices, and adherence to xWS policies upskill Product Areas on best practices.
  • Demonstrate your understanding of VP business objectives, op model, structure, demand vs. capacity needs, and educate xWS with ongoing strategic insight to unlock economies of scale.
  • Drive/support extensive change management within Product Areas to simultaneously launch multiple large-scale enterprise-wide xWS efforts, consult VPs on xWS policies, and understand impact of changes.
  • Apply understanding of cost-saving strategies and regulatory compliance requirements to position xWS solutions that drive results while mitigating risk.
