About the Job



To study mechanisms of sex hormone regulation of skeletal muscle stem cells.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Designing and executing cell biological or genetic experiments relating to (position 1: in vivo development of tissue-specific stem cells within experimental teratomas, position 2: sex hormone control of skeletal muscle stem cell biology). 60%
2. Documenting procedures and experimental data, including writing summary reports on results of work and discussing results with laboratory colleagues and Principal Investigator. You will berequired to present independent review of relevant scientific literature for ongoing projects and discussions of possible new experimental approaches with laboratory colleagues and principal Investigator. In addition, you will be required to present regular presentations of scientific data and significant contribution to the preparation of manuscripts. 25%
3. Drafting and editing manuscripts for submission to scientific journals and preparing grant applications. 15%

Qualifications



Required qualifications:
PhD in any biological/biomedical field, or an MD.
Preferred qualifications:
Good writing skills.
Strong first author publications.

Pay and Benefits



Pay Range: $61,008- $68,964; depending on education/qualifications/experience
Time Appointment: 75%-100% Appointment
