1 Full Time Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 04/10/2024 - 11/20/2024. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in this job description and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in box 3 & 4, page 1. Workers are needed to plant, maintain and harvest various vegetable crops, greenhouse tomatoes, and blueberries. Workers must have a working knowledge of and ability to perform various tasks required in greenhouse tomato production, including harvesting, grading, suckering, lowering, clipping and thinning. Workers will perform field work including planting, transplanting, weeding, thinning, hoeing and other tasks required in the planting, maintaining, and harvesting of various vegetable and berry crops. Workers will sort, wash, pack and otherwise prepare various crops for storage and shipping. Workers will transport and deliver various crops from field to farm and/or retail stand. Workers will load and unload trucks and other farm vehicles. Workers will setup and operate varied irrigation equipment. Workers will cut brush and other vegetation in and around fields, buildings and equipment. Workers will also be involved in all aspects of Christmas tree growing including planting, shearing and grass control. Workers must be able to work in various extreme weather conditions from damp, cold spring and fall days to hot, humid summer days. Work is physically demanding requiring workers to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers may require to work 7 hours shift per day between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm from Monday through Saturday which will total 42 hours for the week. Workers must be available for work on Saturdays. Daily beginning and ending times will vary depending on crop and other conditions. The employer will furnish to workers without cost all tools and equipment required to perform assigned duties. Workers will be given a 30 minute lunch break and a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon. Workers must be able to take direction in simple English.
