Job Details

Since opening Mark Twain has provided the highest quality health care for all those needing medical care in Calaveras County. We offer care expert staff and state-of-the-art equipment to meet the growing needs of our community and are committed to the values of dignity collaboration justice stewardship and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners as required and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to unsure optimal patient care
- Implements patient histories, assesses patient's conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients. Documents on care plans as patient care evolves, including resolutions of problems
- Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning to implements patient education and documents teaching
- Administers and controls narcotics and medications accurately and in a timely manner and signs out narcotics and medications according to hospital policy
- Maintains accurate documentation of patient's progress, nursing care, records and reports
- Follows all Core Measures requirements and documents

Qualifications
- Current California RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Assoc.
- Six (6) months or more of experience in acute care required
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
