Description of Work Unit | Colorado State University is a land-grant institution with a three-part mission of teaching, research, and outreach. The campus is in the city of Fort Collins, the county seat of Larimer County. Fort Collins is a progressive community of approximately 170,000 situated 65 miles north of Denver. Located at an elevation of 5,000 feet, Fort Collins has a clear dry climate and generally pleasant temperature throughout the year. The Colorado State 4-H Youth Development Office is located on CSU’s campus in the Extension Administration Office in the University Square Building. 4-H grows young people with essential life skills like confidence, courage, resiliency, and curiosity who are empowered and prepared for life today and tomorrow. Position Summary | The individual in this position will work as a member of the Colorado State 4-H Youth Development team housed on the CSU Campus, Fort Collins. This position provides important administrative type support to the Colorado State 4-H specialists. This person will also provide support directly to the State 4-H Specialists and other State 4-H Office staff as needed. This individual works collaboratively with team members and assists with organization and communication processes. Some travel, weekend and evening work will be required. While this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, the individual is expected to maintain a balance establishing a presence in the primary office, located in Fort Collins, Colorado, to effectively carry out the duties of the position. |
