Job Description

 
3 fulltime seasonal H-2A jobs available 1/15/25 - 11/13/25. Summer prune trees, planting tree, tractor driving work, driving farm vehicles, orchard maintenance, barn & camp maintenance, storage work, apple harvest. Planting, weeding, harvesting related to apples & vegetables (Lettuce, peppers, onions and potatoes) , washing, sorting line for vegetables. Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. -Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. -Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers. -Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. -Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery, building maintenance, -Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. -Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. -Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. -Direct and monitor the activities of work crews engaged in planting, weeding, or harvesting activities. -Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. -Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information. -Walk beside or ride on planting machines while inserting plants in planter mechanisms at specified intervals. -Operate trucks or other multipurpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (weather on or off the farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach the farm fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license, no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess a drivers license. -Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products. The activities outlined in the job description will be conducted solely on the worksite which is owned and operated by the employer. Workers are expected to work the number of days and hours specified. Depending on weather, crop or other conditions, workers may be requested, but not required to work up to seven days per week and/or on the Sabbath and will be paid overtime accordingly. Employer will furnish workers, without cost, all the tools and equipment required in the performance of the duties assigned. Workers should report for work with their own suitable clothes. While working in the field, phone usage is limited to emergency use only. Due to health & safety reasons on our farm, workers must understand basic instruction in English or Spanish. Requirements: * Workers must have a minimum of 3 months experience in performing the tasks described. * Must be able to lift 60 pounds. * Exposure to extreme temperatures/frequent stooping/bending over * Repetitive movements. * Extensive pushing/pulling, sitting/walking.
