JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The University of Wisconsin-Madison
Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is looking to add a Unified
Communications Technician to the Network Applications team within the
Network Services Department. The Network Services Department is
responsible for the design, management, operation, and support of the
campus network. Network Services coordinates the planning, design,
procurement, and implementation of a broad range of network services,
including high performance research networking, unified communications,
firewall services, access to the Internet, Internet2 and cloud
providers. The Network Applications team is responsible for applications
development in support of Network Services, including software used to
automate, configure maintain and monitor the network. Network
Applications also supports a variety of video and voice applications, as
well as interfacing with other groups in support of service delivery.
This position focuses on providing complex technical and operational
support for our unified communication system and our telemanagement
billing system. This unified communication system support includes
processing requests for adds, changes, and moves, and assists the
Unified Communications team in improving and implementing the
communications systems. Billing system support includes creating
queries, adding features, and ensuring data integrity. Responsibilities:
