Job Description: Union Metal Industries Corp., located in Canton, OH, has full-time Steel Welder openings.
Job Duties:
- Weld tubes and assemblies as required on steel
- Use hand grinders, needle chippers and other powered hand tools
- Read and interpret drawings
- Use jib and/or overhead remote-control crane to move parts/tubes
- Clean area
- Job duties subject to change
Tools Required:
- Welding equipment, grinder, and any other tool for the job, jib and/or overhead remote-control crane
Physical Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift/push/pull/bend up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, climb and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in all types of temperatures
- Must have some computer skills
- Must be able to read prints/work orders
PPE Requirements:
- Ear protection, steel toe shoes, safety glasses and/or goggles, hard hat, welding PPE, gloves to fit the job, face shield when grinding
Details: Full time. First Shift (5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), Second Shift (4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.). 40+ hours/week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. $21.26/hour.
Qualifications: High school diploma / GED. Must have at least 1 year of experience.
