Partner Technology Manager, YouTube (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in web technologies, web development, API integrations.
  • Experience with the Indian internet and media ecosystems, and Internet video technologies (e.g., Digital Rights Management (DRM) solutions, video or audio codecs, live streaming, 360/VR, etc.).
  • Ability to manage technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.
  • Passion to grow technical expertise in data analysis, big data, digital video, machine learning, software architecture, or programming.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.

About the job

As the Partner Technology Manager (PTM), you will be responsible for owning the technical relationship with YouTube's content partners. This involves handling and debugging technology-centric operational issues (e.g., automating manual processes to minimize human error) that partners have, identifying technology-driven strategies for these partners to achieve their business objectives, and creating internal tools and data pipelines to ensure product/business vertical operational efficiency.

We do this by translating global market needs into meaningful product solutions that drive business results for content partners and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, drive, and optimize the business flow from existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies with strategic partners.
  • Perform implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of partner’s technical challenges.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering.
  • Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
