Chenango County's Department of Public Facilities has an opening for a Part-Time Extra Hire Custodial Worker. This position exists in the Chenango County Public Facilities Department and in various school districts and towns and villages within the County. The work involves responsibility for performing routine repetitive building cleaning and minor maintenance work in accordance with well defined policies and procedures. Work is performed under the direct supervision of a higher level public facilities employee with some leeway allowed for planning and carrying out the details of the work. Supervision over the work of others is not a responsibility of an employee in this class. Does related work as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: None are required. Special Requirement for a Custodial Worker in the Chenango County Public Facilities Department: At time of appointment and continuing throughout employment, a candidate/incumbent must possess a valid New York State Drivers License and a driving record acceptable to the Countys insurance carrier. The position has a 19 hour or less work week and 2024 starting pay rate is $16.99 per hour. No Civil Service examination required for permanent appointment! Position status: Non-competitive.
