If the answer to all of the above is "yes", the FIRST (Families In Recovery SupporT) Steps Together Team at Cape Cod Children's Place would love to get to know you.

FIRST Steps Together is a peer coaching and parent support program for parents recovering from substance use. FIRST Steps at Cape Cod Children's Place provides care for families throughout the entire Cape, as well as on Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Our community based, home visiting model, focuses on meeting parents exactly where they are, and walking alongside them in their journey, to develop the skills and supports they need to do the hard work of parenting small children while taking care of their recovery from substance use. We believe that these parents deserve easy access to every support available to them.

FIRST Steps Together is an example of an evidence informed intervention that decreases the risk of a child's exposure to adverse childhood experiences, and we feel like there just isn't any higher calling than that! We love our job, and if all of this sounds good to you, we're sure you will too.
