Responsible for delivering nutrition assessment and education services throughout Fayette County.  This role supports breastfeeding education conducts community outreach with physicians and social service agencies.  Key responsibilities for the position include:  Providing nutrition assessment for WIC clients and educating them on proper nutrition; Conducting client health screenings(including anthropometrics and hemoglobin testing) during intake and throughout the program; Managing nutrition education and assessment for high-risk clients; Providing technical assistance to WIC staff to ensure compliance with program policies and regulations; Engaging in outreach activities aimed at expanding program participation; Meeting with clinicians and social service providers to educated them on WIC referral processes and available services; Developing and distributing nutrition education materials; Preparing and presenting nutrition education/training.  Ideal candidates will have a degree in Nutrition, experienced providing nutrition education and consultation services and a strong desire to ensure the health and well-being of Fayette County's children.  New Graduates are welcomed and encouraged to apply.
