Job Description

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operates automation equipment and machinery safely and efficiently. Tests components and finished goods by using calibration equipment to ensure quality standards are met. Prepares materials necessary to be installed and utilized by the automation machinery. Adjusts, repairs, and modifies equipment as needed. Identifies problems with equipment and components on an on-going basis. Reports and communicates metrics clearly on an hourly basis. Abilities/Skills Required Ability to adapt to business needs that may alter the work environment. Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work over equipment for up to 8 hours. Ability to follow instructions pertaining to the processing and testing of all machinery, equipment, and materials. Ability to learn measuring tools such as calipers, depth micrometers, torque testers, etc. Skill in using basic hand tools. Ability to differentiate between types of materials and colors. Ability to be a good team player and work with people with diverse backgrounds. Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, and metric conversions. Ability to lift to 20 lbs. individually or 50 lbs. via team lift. Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements: Entry level machine operating positions require no previous manufacturing experience. Advanced machine operating positions require 3+ years previous of manufacturing or mechanical experience.
