Senior Supplier QA Engineer
About the role:

The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will drive proactive improvement projects with Watchman suppliers and be a lead for other supplier related issues for Watchman product family including but not limited to monitoring supplier performance to drive supplier corrective action, manufacturing issues (including yield impact) and field failures.
Key responsibilities include:
Assess potential proactive project(s) that supplier can adopt and gain alignment with cross functional teams (Supplier Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Purchasing).
Work closely with suppliers during execution of the proactive project(s).
Communicate the timeline and progress to Watchman Coalition team including any challenges anticipated.
Generates and maintains any update to incoming inspection procedures.
Assists in generating component specifications.
Provide input to Design Engineering on new component technology and assist in component selection with quality and reliability analysis.
Analyses incoming material defects. Dispositions and drives corrective action as necessary. Communicates issues to suppliers.
Investigates field failures related to supplier materials. Develop corrective action plan where necessary.
What we're looking for in you:

Minimum requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering/technical fieldsuch as materials science, chemicalor mechanical engineering and 5 yearsrelated experience or master's degree and 3 years related experience.
Experience in project management, manufacturing floor, fast-paced medical device operations environment and component supplier manufacturing process.
Demonstrated understanding of QSR and ISO standard (ISO 9001, ISO 13485) requirements for Material/Purchasing Controls, Validation and CAPA.
Domestic and international travel up to 10%.
Preferred qualifications:
ASQ CQE, CMQOE and/or CQA/CBA certified.
Experience with materials/components specifications and manufacturing processes.
Experience with Laboratory Equipment: Measuring Tools and Failure Analysis.
Experience with inspection methods for components i.e., analytical or dimensional test methods.
Experience with problem solving quality tools.
