MAIN RESPONSIBILITY: Ensure efficient operation of the Maintenance department including coordinating and supervising activities related to the maintenance and repair of physical systems, and equipment; while mentoring the Maintenance department employees.


Education:


  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities.

Experience:


  • 3-5 years experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.

Knowledge:


  • General knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Strong understanding of PLs, AC/DC, and servo motors and drives.
  • Mechanical aptitude necessary.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, ladder diagrams, and schematics to produce manuals for the Maintenance department.

Skills:


  • Proficiency with computers including the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to lead and direct.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude necessary.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, ladder diagrams, and schematics to produce manuals for the Maintenance department.
  • Understand and apply safe work practices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Must be able to reach all areas of operation, including second floors.
  • Standing and walking most of the shift.
  • Significant amount of lifting of up to 75 pounds.
  • Significant bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Working on and around all sizes and types of equipment.
