As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in preparing medications for patients. On this team, you will find an approachable, supportive and open-door policy, with managers prioritizing healthy work-life balance and caregiver wellness. While you may not interact with patients directly every day, your efforts will make a meaningful difference in their lives and treatments. You will also have the opportunity to explore other tech roles and benches.
A caregiver in this position works varying shifts, with every fourth weekend requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
- Fill medication carts daily.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy.
- Repackage bulk medications.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National HealthCareer Association (NHA)
- Registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Training Program
- Six months of hospital experience
