Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to work onsite 5 days a week for a client out of the Lenexa, KS area. This person will play an important role with developing project data needs based off of the clients business needs. This person will be responsible for designing data pipelines, building, implementing, and testing the data pipelines, and also be the one to take ownership of projects while giving direction to the rest of the data engineering group. This person should be an expert with data warehousing & data engineering. In addition, this person should have experience working within a cloud environment, preferably azure. This role requires someone that is comfortable with communicating with both internal and external personal.

Required Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of professional experience working as a data engineer
- 10+ years of data warehousing experience
- 5+ years of experience working within a cloud environment while working as a data engineer.
- Azure, AWS, GCP, or similar
- Experience working with data bricks, SQL, Spark, Kafka, etc
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a degree in computer science, engineering, or related

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experienced in an azure cloud environment
- Previously worked at a financial institution or has knowledge in the financial space
- PowerBI development
