LPN Assist in providing nursing Care for patients in office of Neurology
Is responsible for compliance with all standards, policies and procedures related to the scope of the LPN practice in delivery of patient care under the director of the RN.
Participates in the collection of patient assessment data within the scope of practice. Reports all abnormal findings to the RN or provider as appropriate.
- Communicates and updates assessment data in an orderly fashion through documentation in the patient record and communication with the RN and other healthcare team members.
- Documents in the patient record nursing actions and patient response to therapeutic interventions.
- Participates in health teaching of patients and family members. Understands principles of patient education.
- Accurately documents teaching and patient response and understanding.
- Administers medications safely and in accordance with hospitals policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of dosage range, therapeutic indications and side effects for medications administered.
- Accurately completes and reconciles medication list on admission and discharge.
- Collaborates with other clinical staff and providers to ensure that safe and therapeutic treatment is provided for all patients.
- Demonstrates ability to engage in care and establish rapport with patients.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to accepted ethical and behavioral standards of conduct.
- Willing to perform other duties as requested or assigned.
- Has a clear understanding and adheres to hospital, Patient Care Services & Departments policies, procedures and standards of care
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing
Licensure, Certification, Registration:
- Current license to practice professional nursing from the NH Board of Registration
- BLS
Experience: Preferably six months of clinical experience in inpatient, outpatient, or long-term facilities
