POSITION PROFILE

In this role, the Infrastructure Engineer will be integral to maintaining and enhancing the technical backbone at the Connectria data center. This includes hands-on involvement with the data center's physical infrastructure, involving tasks such as server deployments, hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting. The candidate will play a key role in both maintaining the current system's stability and efficiently integrating new technologies.


Location: This position is onsite at our location in downtown St. Louis, MO.

Schedule: 2nd shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am, Sunday - Thursday along with required 24x7 on-call rotation. Shift is subject to change due to company need.


Primary Duties:

  • Provide consistent support for existing hardware systems within the data center.
  • Efficiently deploy new hardware and upgrade existing systems.
  • Proactively respond to support queries, manage incidents in the ticketing system, and document resolutions.
  • Execute change requests within pre-defined timelines.
  • Ensure continuous health and performance of the systems.
  • Liaise with vendors for parts replacement and in-depth troubleshooting.
  • Be available for a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule.
  • Oversee equipment logistics, including shipping and receiving.
  • Assist in managing hardware inventory.
  • Participate in meetings related to both internal and customer-centric environments.
  • Regularly update support procedures and process documentation as needed.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in hardware administration and resolution of related issues.
  • Eagerness to stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and openness to receiving training and certifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level server hardware is a must.
