In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing the PHY and radio level characterization on internal silicon solution from chip back until shipping in your favorite Apple products.

Key Qualifications

  • Knowledge in existing wireless communication protocols: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, LTE/WCDMA/GSM, or 802.11ad/ay.
  • Understanding communication theory and key Tx/Rx metrics like EVM and sensitivity.
  • Experience using and understanding of the theory of operation of wireless/RF test equipment such as signal analyzer, signal generator, and spectrum analyzer.
  • Experience with Python, Matlab, Perl, Javascript, C/C++, or C#
  • Experience executing and debugging wireless/RF tests.
  • Experience debugging test automation including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts, database interfaces, and reporting tools.

Description

This is an individual technical contributor role that requires industry experience in testing of wireless silicon within wireless communication systems. You will engage with the first silicon arrives to bringup the Phy and then characterize the Phy/RF performance against your test plan. You will use your understanding of communication theory to debug issues in the silicon and/or test environment, relying on a good understanding of test & measurement equipment. You will resolve issues or file bug reports and then track them to conclusion while reporting on performance and current status. As an owner of the silicon performance validation you will be key in making sure Apple products exceed expectations.

Education & Experience

BS+ 3 years of relevant experience.
