    We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Director of Finance and Accounting to lead our financial operations. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep technical accounting knowledge, and a proven track record of optimizing financial performance.
    Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
    Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
    Develop, monitor, and report on budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
    Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
    Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, risk management, and financial decision-making.
    Manage external audits and relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
    Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial systems and operations.
    Prepare board presentations and executive-level financial summaries.
    Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
    CPA or equivalent certification required.
    Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
    Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, and budgeting.
    Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
    Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
    Preferred Qualifications Experience in [industry type, e.g., SaaS, nonprofit, manufacturing, etc.].
    Familiarity with fundraising, mergers & acquisitions, or investor relations.
    Strong change management and team development skills.
