Description
MHA is hiring immediately for a Outreach worker. The outreach worker will provide outreach, assessment and engagement to referrals and potential referrals to Permanent Supported Housing /Community Support for Persons Experiencing Chronic Homelessness. Connect chronically homeless participants with MHA housing first programs and provide on-going housing stabilization. Perform responsibilities professionally, in accordance with MHA's Core Values (Respect, Integrity, and Compassion), policies, practices, program funding and applicable regulatory agency guidelines.
Outreach Worker Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Valid driver's license, sufficient automobile insurance, acceptable driving record, and a safe reliable vehicle during working hours.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time, prioritize tasks, take initiative, follow through, and work cooperatively as a member of a team.
Good oral, written, computer, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to the changing needs of the program participants.
Strong interpersonal skills, patience, caring, and compassion.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Hours: 11:30a-7:30p
Outreach workers Must Have
Valid driver's license
Automobile insurance with your name listed as an insured Driver
No more than 3 violations within the past 3 years on your driving record
A safe reliable vehicle during working hours
