Role Overview
The Sr. Financial Analyst role is a critical financial role within the accounting organization, supporting the VP Finance to maintain financial policies, procedures, controls, metrics, and reporting. The position will play a key role in partnering with the VP Finance to ensure timely and accurate presentation of financial reports and information as well as working cross functionally with personnel throughout the business to drive organizational improvement. The role is responsible for leading monthly close processes, generating operational reporting, and providing analytical support regarding production metrics. The position will work with and support internal and external auditors, ensure the company is maintaining proper internal controls and ensure compliance with government and regulatory requirements including SOX and GAAP. This is a key development position for promotion to senior financial management roles within Transdigm.

The Ideal Candidate
Looking for a degreed accountant with skills in Power BI and SQL
Has an entrepreneurial mindset, thinking and acting like an owner with a strong sense of urgency and bias for action
Is skilled in monitoring and assessing the performance of self, other individuals, and teams to make improvements and take corrective action, creating a track record of successful leadership
Is comfortable with ambiguity and change, nimble and responsive in the short-term while driving progress on longer-term initiatives and process improvements to achieve strategic goals
Has emotional intelligence and is able to develop and foster a strong level of trust with leaders and employees of diverse backgrounds and situations
Is an exceptional communicator in both written and verbal interactions; clear, concise, and courageous in giving tough but supportive feedback when needed
Qualifications
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
ERP knowledge with a strong understanding of ERP functionality (Infor Syteline a plus)
Experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
Proficient with MS Suite, with advanced Excel skills
Power BI & SQL preferred
High degree of integrity with the ability to work with confidential financial and employee information discreetly and appropriately
Open to relocation career advancement opportunities within Transdigm operating units
Education/Previous Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred, but not required
Aerospace experience preferred, but not required
2 to 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years of manufacturing accounting experience, including cost accounting
Experience as a mentor or team leader
Essential Mental/Physical Demands
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods. Extensive use of hands in writing, computer, and other office equipment. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary Range for position: $80,000 - $100,000; placement within this range will be based upon previous experience and prior indirect leadership roles
