Applied Materials Director Marketing and Business Dev - (B6) in Santa Clara, California
Key Responsibilities
Provides leadership and direction to ensure that overall marketing function is effectively meeting the organization’s strategic goals for a broad functional area
Directs the development of market requirements for specific products or product lines including product strategy definition, requirement analysis, technology product roadmaps and pricing
Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area and leads effective marketing and cross-functional teams
Directs the development of business plans, assesses market penetration and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share
Recommends to GM how to most effectively deploy resources to achieve business goals for a broad functional area
Directs the competitive analysis of specific products or product lines
Establishes pricing strategies to build and protect a leadership position in market share while enhancing profit margins and developing marketing tools for successful product introductions
Drives effective interface with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products and enhance existing products as well as communicate critical market needs and time requirements
Functional Knowledge
Recognized as “guru” or external expert in a function
Demonstrates broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques and/or technologies within own field
Business Expertise
- Influences internal/external business and/or regulatory issues that have an impact on the business

Familiar with Adv Packaging industry trend.
Back-end packaging or front-end fab process hand-on industrial experience
Patterning/ Litho experience in back end a plus.
Technical knowledge in the physics and the operation principles in semiconductor equipment related to exposure, metrology and inspection.

U.S. Salary Range:
$184,000.00 - $253,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
