Join our dynamic team as a Staff Researcher and embark on a thrilling journey of discovery! In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of cutting-edge research, playing a vital part in our laboratory operations. Your responsibilities will include executing a range of technical tasks, from logging reagents to conducting intricate procedures such as peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) isolations and cytokine ELISA assays. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you analyze data. Moreover, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our lab by conducting routine equipment maintenance and ensuring the highest standards of quality control. Salary: $28.04 – $45.11 hourly
Required:
- Bachelors degree with 1-3 years research experience in molecular biology and immunology preferred or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Ability to write legible using correct spelling to record technical lab results.
- Willingness and ability to work changing hours if necessary
- Basic knowledge of tissue culture, microbiology, cellular biology
- Knowledge of basic chemistry and biology
- Knowledge of quality control and instrument usage
- Ability to maintain water bath temperatures and water levels.
- Ability to perform simple lab calculations
- Ability to work with potentially biohazardous material (human blood and serum)
- Ability to learn new methods and protocols and to adapt these to current laboratory situations Skill in laboratory safety protocols including proper handling of biohazardous substances (chemicals, radioactive isotopes, and infectious agents)
- Ability to organize data using excel and powerpoint
- Ability to understand/interpret bioinformatic data
- Ability to conduct literature searchesAbility to work independently with average amount of supervision
