Job Summary
Sets up, maintains, adjusts, and operates a variety of autoweld leadwire manufacturing equipment. Works in tandem with a quality inspector/attendant to produce high quality product in a safe, consistent and timely manner.

Schedule: M-F 6:30am-3:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and adjusts and repairs as appropriate
  • Maintains equipment by cleaning, oiling, and greasing
  • Assists Quality Inspectors in daily assignments and activities and provides coverage as needed
  • Reads and interprets leadwire specifications and identifies defects utilizing:

-SPC system w/ Quadra-Check

-Micrometers

-Vernier Calipers

  • Tests product to monitor quality
  • Changes wire and processes inventory adjustments and raw material defects
  • Handles hazardous chemicals
  • Provides coverage on shifts other than those assigned, as business dictates.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Apprentice Mechanic or equivalent: having completed the Mechanic
  • Competency Training Schedule.
  • Must pass a post-offer physical examination.
  • Must achieve a Satisfactory score on Mechanical Aptitude Test, if applicable
  • Ability to work with small parts efficiently and effectively: good hand-eye coordination, good manual dexterity
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds safely
  • Capable of bending repeatedly to work on machinery
  • Good vision—with or without correction.
  • Must wear protective eyewear and hearing protection
