We are seeking self-motivated & experienced RFIC designer (silicon processes) to join our growing Oregon Design Center, creating world-class RF front-end module components for the state-of-the-art 5G mobile systems, and winning Tie 1 smartphone customers, all at the heart of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where you can enjoy lushness of the Nature, richness of the local art and culinary scene, and most importantly work-life balance with affordable living cost.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform detailed, transistor-level RFIC design and product development based on silicon processes (RF CMOS, SOI, BiCMOS, etc.), focusing on front-end chip components such as RF switches, integrated couplers, digital attenuators, low noise amplifiers (LNA), etc.
Generate proper deliverables (design documents, models, interfacing documents, etc.) according to established design flow, and present results to internal and external customers. Propose improvements to the flow if necessary.
Work with cross-functional engineering team and marketing managers across the company to define, interpret, and fine-tune product requirements & specifications, provide feedback when needed, and support products from conception to full production release, to ensure customer design wins.
Manage product development progress in a planned & timely manner, communicate expectations with other team members frequently, and execute plan effectively.
Use RF measurement equipment directly and/or work with lab testing engineers & technicians to obtain necessary numerical understanding of products' performances; analyze test data and communicate your findings through clear & concise documentation and/or verbal presentations to peers and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MSEE with 5+ years of RFIC design experience; PhD preferred.
Familiar with 5G system basics, CMOS device physics, analog circuit theory, microwave engineering theory.
Demonstrate a track record of successfully & independently designing RFIC products and releasing them to production.
Familiar with RF front-end components and its general design trade-offs; hands on experience with Si/SOI process-based RF front-end component design is a plus.
Familiar with design tools such as Cadence, ADS, HFSS, and data analysis tools such as MATLAB; able to conduct both design, simulation verifications, and data analysis with these tools.
Able to operate RF measurement equipment such as vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, power meter, etc. including performing necessary bench calibration, measurement taking, and result deembedding; familiar with RF test bench setups and the abilities & limitations behind them.
Self-motivated, have strong desire to study and learn, as well as sharing learnt knowledge with peers through effective communication.
Can perform under time constraints and ambiguity, and work both independently and in a team.
Strong in innovation (evidence like published papers or holding patents) is much desired.
