Job Description:
The Assembler will be responsible for assembling various components and products according to specifications and blueprints. The successful candidate will have experience in assembling and testing products, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. The Assembler 2 will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.




Essential Duties


Work from drawings, blueprints, sketches, verbal or written instruction such as work order process sheets.
Assemble electro-mechanical / pneumatic components as required.
Pressure test assembled valves, pumps and other component assemblies.
Utilize a variety handheld tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, crimpers, cutters, power and other tools as required.
Responsible for product quality and production quantity - work must be inspected to ensure conformity to specifications and quality standards before, during, and after completion.
Prepare finished work for shipment or storage as instructed or required.
Maintain records and other pertinent data as instructed or required.
Maintain area in a clean and orderly condition to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.

All other duties, as assigned.

Education / Skills


High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum three to five years of related electro-mechanical assembly or repair experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office Applications)
Ability to use, read, and interpret drawings and measuring scale or tape proficiently.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
High attention to detail.
Ability to perform work accurately, thoroughly and in a timely manner
Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements


Sit for prolonged periods at a bench or table to assemble electro-mechanical parts.
Handling and Moving Objects - Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things
Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Finger Dexterity - The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
Retrieving and / or filing documentation from other departments.
Handling - moving, lifting (up to 40 lbs) parts to and from bench or cart on a regular basis
