Job Description

TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, Center for Transportation & Logistics-AgeLab (multiple openings), to join a multidisciplinary team focused on research to improve the lives of older adults via technology, science, and business solutions. Responsibilities involve research, written content, and external communications and working independently and collaboratively with other members of the research team.  Will conduct literature reviews; collect, clean, code, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data; contribute to manuscripts and posters for academic journals and conferences; and generate written content for sponsors, newsletters, and social media. 

Job Requirements

 REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree, preferably in a social science field (e.g., anthropology, economics, political science, psychology, sociology) or data science; two years of experience (may include experience gained as an undergraduate); experience with coding and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data; meticulous attention to detail; excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills; comfort presenting to different audiences; ability to handle multiple priorities from multiple sources, perform accurately under time pressure and frequent interruptions, and work independently and as part of a team; proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); and discretion and judgment with confidential information/data/issues.  PREFERRED:  experience with multivariate statistical techniques (e.g., regression analysis, clustering, ANOVA, and structural equation modeling), statistical packages (ideally SPSS, Stata, and/or R), social science data, and qualitative data analysis programs (e.g., MAXQDA or ATLAS.ti); familiarity with Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and Dropbox; experience using Qualtrics or Google Forms; experience with data visualization using Tableau or other software; familiarity with product and software design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, etc.); familiarity with smart home devices, sensors, and applications; and interest in and willingness to learn new technologies.  Job #23856

Will be expected to work on-site and in the office, with the potential for a more flexible schedule in the future.

Occasional night and weekend work or event attendance may be required.  Occasional travel may also be required.
