Production Planner/Scheduler Job Purpose: In a team-based environment;
the Production Planner will provide a critical link and work closely
with Engineering, Program Management, Purchasing and Manufacturing to
adequately support all planning activities in a timely manner. Nature of
Duties: Performs scheduling functions involved with Managing Work
orders, coordinating products and materials movement through the
manufacturing processes to completion and on time shipment Reviews
backlog to determine materials shortages and capacity requirements to
provide commitments feedback to customer Coordinates the efficient
expediting of materials and work in process with purchasing, production
and engineering Proactively identify areas of potential supply concerns,
keeping in mind capacity constraints, shortages and communicates
analysis/recommendations to all parties impacted Demonstrates good
judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
related to material planning and production scheduling A working
knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response Advance planning systems is a plus
and highly desirable Education and Experience Requirements: BS/AA degree
with APICS training, Advance planning system knowledge is a plus 2+
years\' experience as a Production Planner or equivalent Ideal candidate
must have strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent Oracle 11i, MS-Excel, MS-Office and MRP knowledge is a must
