Job Description: |
Chippewa County Assessor's Office has a full time Assessment Technician position open in Montevideo, MN. The Assessment Technician is responsible to provide record management and customer service to assist in the determination of equitable appraisal values and appropriate classification for all real and personal property for Ad Valorem real estate tax assessment purposes. The salary range for this position is $20.96 - $29.03/hour.
Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain assessment records including processing of CRV's and eCRV's/Maintain homestead application system and prepare reports for the MN Department of Revenue/Provide customer service, assisting the public in person or by phone with law, policy, regulation and operations procedures/Perform a variety of clerical and office support duties.
Ancillary Duties: Maintains knowledge of current tax laws, appraisal principles and practices for real and personal property markets/Attends training/educational sessions, meetings and seminars to maintain current license education hours requirements and to keep current on legislative and regulatory changes and best practices relating to department functions.
