    Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Corporate Controller to lead our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. This leadership position is responsible for managing the company’s accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate has a strong background in corporate finance, proven leadership capabilities, and extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.


    Key Responsibilities:


    • Oversee all accounting operations, including, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition and critical accounting estimates

    • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or IFRS, as applicable).

    • Lead efficient month-end and year-end close processes, streamlining workflows for accuracy and speed.

    • Oversee financial consolidations for multiple entities, including managing transactions and reporting in multiple currencies.

    • Provide oversight to multi-currency multi-entity revenue recognition and cash settlement application

    • Oversee payment processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution of vendor payments, payroll, and other financial obligations.

    • Develop, document, and implement robust business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.

    • Lead and manage the annual audit process with external auditors.

    • Ensure full compliance with US federal, state, and local tax and European country tax and VAT regulations, overseeing timely and accurate filings

    • Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.

    • Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

    • Evaluate and optimize accounting software systems, recommending upgrades or replacements to improve efficiency (e.g., ERP systems like NetSuite or Sage).


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred

    • Experience with international operations including multiple legal entities

    • 10+ years of progressive global accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or Controller role.

    • Public accounting background. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

    • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage), having completed a system conversion

    • Experience in multi-channel commerce, including D2C (knowledge of Shopify and/or experience in direct selling channel a plus)

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams.

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
