Job Description
JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY Performs a variety of entry level and
semi-skilled assembly and repair operations. Reads and interprets model
folders and connection diagrams. Work assignments include but are not
limited to: pre-assembly, testing, packing, building, and prepping.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assemble different conduit boxes and endbell
assemblies. Set up tester and test motors to ensure the motor runs with
no defects. Make adjustments as necessary. Prepare motors to ship,
including the application of nameplates, box labeling, wrapping motors
and stacking boxed motors on skids. Assemble numerous parts to complete
motor. This includes: screws, endbells, R/S assemblies, nuts, fans, fan
guards, conduit boxes, etc. Identify motor components, gather components
and ensure proper numbers. Recognize defective or faulty workmanship and
report issues to department lead. Maintain production and quality
standards and identify equipment malfunctions. Keep work area and
equipment in a clean, safe and orderly fashion. Follow all established
safety rules and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned, including
assisting in training of other employees. Paints electric motors
according to print specifications. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lifting a
minimum of 25lbs to a maximum of 75lbs. Occasional bending and lifting
at the knees. Twisting frequently at waist and shoulder levels. Standing
continuously, sitting occasionally. Occasional carrying of 25-75lbs
approximately 5 steps. Occasional reaching above shoulder level,
frequent reaching outwards in front of body. Frequent pushing and/or
pulling of motors down the assembly line weighing 25 to 75lbs. Capable
of wearing safety glasses with side shields at all times. Capable of
wearing other PPE as required. Ability to use power and hand tools,
soldering irons, fixtures, gauges and small machines to assemble
components to specifications. Work is repetitive in nature. Able to pass
Pulmonary FunctionTraining and RFT training in order to perform
necessary painting tasks. EDUCATION High school diploma preferred.
EXPERIENCE Blueprint reading experience is preferred. Previous
experience operating power and hand tools and using measuring devices is
preferred. Computer skills are preferred. Ability to were Respiratory
mask and spray painting experience. WORKING CONDITIONS 1. Ability to
work in a manufacturing setting with moveable, mechanical parts and/or
