Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the financial health of Pennsylvania Conference's subordinate church and school organizations by analyzing complex financial information and preparing financial reports. The Accountant must employ critical thinking to evaluate the financial health of these subordinate church and school organizations and be able to communicate such information to Pennsylvania Conference's administrative team and Columbia Union officials which oversees all financial activities of subordinate organizations. In addition, the Accountant works with Pennsylvania Conference's Treasury Department and Payroll Office in managing employee payroll and benefits. In managing and overseeing the financial operations of Pennsylvania Conference's church entities, she will be responsible for balancing budgets, financial reporting and all other responsibilities previously listed on the job chart. To fully service the Conference's financial needs, the combination of knowledge required could only be obtained at an institution of higher education in a field of study which addresses advanced accounting concepts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Business with a minimum of 20 credit hours in Accounting or Finance.
